The internet is truly a wonderful thing. In previous years, I would be restricted as a guitar teacher to only being able to offer guitar lessons in my home-town of Colchester, Essex, as well as its surrounding areas such as Clacton, Harwich, Ipswich, Suffolk, Manningtree and Chelmsford, to name but a few. However, I am pleased to announce that now, thanks to the magic of technology, I am able to offer guitar, bass and music lessons to anyone in the world with an internet connection!

If you were thinking of booking lessons with me in the past, and perhaps never got round to it, then perhaps you’d like to try a lesson with me over Skype instead. There are a few advantages to learning guitar in this manner, so without further adieu, let’s run through 3 benefits of taking guitar lessons over Skype:

1) It Doesn’t Matter How Far Away You Are

Perhaps you’ve stumbled across my website and thought that you’d love to take guitar lessons from me, but discovered that my location might be just a little too far from you, whether you’re in a different part of the country, or even in another country altogether! Well, thanks to the internet, it now means that no matter where you live in the world, it is possible to book guitar lessons with me and experience all the benefits of taking regular music lessons. Booking a lesson is now so simple, just visit my contact page and send me a message, I will get back to you ASAP and we can sort out a time that suits you. There’s no need to even leave your own home, which brings me nicely onto my next point…

2) No Need To Travel

At the current time of writing, it’s December 2017 here in the UK and the weather has been terrible! A lot of people have been snowed in and understandably haven’t even travelled to work, let alone to a guitar lesson with me. However, with Skype, I can now ensure that I can still deliver guitar lessons to those who are unable or even unwilling to travel to me. I completely understand that not everyone has access to their own transport, and it can be a pain for those that do to have to think about getting ready and planning a journey to my place for a lesson. Although I am happy to travel to any student’s address, I also recognise that this sometimes isn’t the most practical option. If any of the above apply to you, then please consider booking a lesson over Skype instead and don’t miss out on some great guitar tuition!

3) Skype Lessons Still Give You The Benefits Of One-To-One Tuition

In the last few years, I have had several students comment that they’ve tried to learn guitar or bass from free lessons on YouTube or similar sources, with many stating that they just couldn’t keep up with the video and giving up completely! Now, don’t get me wrong, there are many fabulous guitar tutors on YouTube offering some great lessons, and even I’ve picked up lots of new information from watching some of their free content online. However, particularly in the case of beginners, there is often no substitute for having a live guitar lesson with a tutor who can structure the lesson at your own pace, and give you some encouragement as you progress! Skype lessons are the perfect happy medium for those who want to take advantage of the benefits of tailored one to one lessons without having to leave the comfort of their own home, and I’m very pleased to be able to offer this as a service.

So, if you would like to book some lessons with me over Skype, then please visit my Contact page, send me a message and let me make you a better guitarist.
